DeaconCapital Group was founded by Emile E. Chammas as an independent financial services group focused on discretionary asset management and wealth management consulting for high net worth families and institutions.

The group consists of two operating entities DeaconCapital Asset Management LLP or DCAM which was incorporated in July 2007 and is authorised and regulated in the UK by the Financial Services Authority (FSA) and DeaconCapital (Dubai) Ltd. or DCD which was incorporated in February 2009 and is authorised and regulated in Dubai by the Dubai Financial Services Authority (DFSA).
